Bhopal. Political rhetoric on farmers’ issues has intensified in Madhya Pradesh. Bharatiya Janata Party has hit back sharply after former Agriculture Minister and Congress MLA Sachin Yadav called the Mohan Yadav government ‘anti-farmer’. BJP state spokesperson Dr. Durgesh Keswani rejected Congress’s allegations and said that Congress leaders are only doing politics of lies and illusion.
Responding to Sachin Yadav’s statements, Dr. Keswani said that the Congress leader is only shedding ‘crocodile tears’ in the name of farmers. He alleged that Congress has only cheated, deceived and cheated the farmers during its rule. The public has now recognized the reality of Congress, which is why they are being rejected again and again.
BJP spokesperson gave a direct challenge to Congress on the issue of loan waiver. He said that Congress should bring forward even one farmer whose loan up to Rs 2 lakh has actually been waived off. Dr. Keswani said that Congress had used the loan waiver only as an election gimmick. As soon as he came to power he went back on his promises.
Dr. Keswani also advised former Agriculture Minister Sachin Yadav to pay attention to the figures. He said that Sachin Yadav should himself assess the agricultural growth rate during his tenure and the growth rate during the time of BJP government. During the BJP government, the state has made remarkable progress in the agriculture sector, the proof of which is that Madhya Pradesh has received the ‘Krishi Karman Award’ six times.
BJP spokesperson said that the present government is serving the interests of farmers through ‘Kisan Samman Nidhi’ and MSP. He said that Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav is literally following the development mantra of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Keswani said that the entire focus of the state government is on the empowerment of the poor, youth, food givers and women power. Government policies are being implemented with the aim of bringing development to the last person of the society. He claimed that Annadata was with BJP earlier also and will remain so in future also, no matter how much Congress tries to spread confusion.
