New Delhi. A big and relief news has come out for railway passengers. Now the train reservation chart will be prepared faster than before. This means that the confusion that existed till the last moment regarding confirmed and waiting tickets will now end to a great extent. Railway Board has issued a new order in this regard on December 16, under which now the first reservation chart of trains will be prepared about 10 hours in advance. This change is being considered especially beneficial for those passengers who, while being in the waiting list, wait till the last moment for their tickets to be confirmed.
It is often seen that till a few hours before the departure of the train, passengers are not able to know whether their ticket will be confirmed or not. In view of this problem, Railways had earlier started the system of making charts 8 hours in advance in June this year. Now to further improve the convenience of passengers, this time has been increased to 10 hours. Railways believes that by preparing the chart first, passengers will get a chance to choose another option in time.
According to the new order of the Railway Board, the rules for making charts according to the timings of trains have been decided: -
Now those with waiting tickets will not have to wait till the last moment. Earlier, many passengers were able to know whether the ticket was confirmed or not only after reaching the station. The new rules will provide clarity to passengers in advance, so that they can change their travel plans or get a refund.
Absolutely. Passengers with confirmed tickets will also get seat and coach information first. With this, they will be able to reach the station on time, pack their luggage and prepare for the journey in a better way.
Railway passengers are being advised to check the chart status before traveling by train. Confirmed and waiting status can be easily checked through IRCTC app or website. This will save you from last minute problems.
This step of the Railways clearly shows that it is giving priority to the facilities of the passengers. Quick preparation of charts will not only reduce confusion but will also make travel more convenient.
