The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has announced a large number of vacancies for Home Guard volunteers, but the last date to apply is today. According to the board, there are a total of 45,000 positions available, and applications can only be submitted until December 17, 2025. Both male and female candidates can apply for this recruitment. Furthermore, a 20 percent reservation has been set aside for women, providing opportunities for a large number of female applicants.
Educational Qualification
Candidates must have passed the 10th grade. The applicant's age should be between 18 and 30 years, and their date of birth should not be before July 1, 1995, or after July 1, 2007. Additionally, there is a five-year age relaxation for candidates belonging to the SC, ST, and OBC categories.
Selection Process
The selection process includes physical standards and a running test. For male candidates, the height requirement is 168 cm, and the chest measurement should be 79-84 cm. They will have 28 minutes to complete a 4.8 km run. For female candidates, the height requirement is 152 cm, the minimum weight is 40 kg, and they must complete a 2.4 km run in 16 minutes. Candidates belonging to the ST category will receive additional relaxation in height and chest measurements.
Duty Allowance and Benefits
Home Guard volunteers will receive a daily allowance of ₹600 for their duty. They will also receive a dearness allowance from time to time.
