Team India have the opportunity to seal a T20I series win over South Africa with a win in the fourth game of the five-match series at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow on Wednesday. Suryakumar Yadav’s team are 2-1 up in the series after their dominant seven-wicket win in the third game in Dharamshala on Sunday. They have been boosted by the addition of pacer Jasprit Bumrah to the squad after he missed the third T20I. While the BCCI mentioned that Bumrah was missing the game due to ‘personal reasons’ it has been reported that close family member of the Mumbai Indians pacer was admitted in the hospital. The Indian cricket board have already announced that all-rounder Axar Patel will be missing the remaining two games of the T20I series vs South Africa due to injury and have added Sunrisers Hyderabad all-rounder Shahbaz Ahmed to the squad for the remaining games. But it is unlikely that Shahbaz will get a look into the playing 11 for the 4th T20I in Lucknow. If Bumrah is available for the fourth game he may slot into the side to replace Kuldeep Yadav as Harshit Rana provides an additional batting option to the Indian side. The Indians will be concerned about the form of skipper Suryakumar Yadav and vice-captain Shubman Gill. They may bring back Sanju Samson to bolster the batting at the expense of Jitesh Sharma. It will be interesting to see if the team management gives Samson the opportunity to return to the opening position where he scored back-to-back hundreds against South Africa last year. Aiden Markram’s team on the other hand are likely to go in with the same playing 11 as last game apart from one change.
