New Delhi: The Big Cricket League revealed the dates for its upcoming Season 2 during a curtain raiser event. BCL 2026 is scheduled to be held in March 2026 the tournament will see the return of marquee international cricketers. The inaugural season featured star India cricketers like Shikhar Dhawan Suresh Raina and Irfan Pathan and the next edition is expected to match that stature with bigger international names and a more electrifying experience for cricket fans across the country.
BCL curtain raiser event was attended by prominent personalities
The BCL Curtain Raiser in Delhi drew an impressive mix of prominent personalities from different entertainment politics business sports and entrepreneurship making it one of the most high-profile events ahead of the new season. The event was attended by Padma Shri awardees Hans Raj Hans and Jaspinder Narula Members of Parliament Chandra Prakash Joshi and Tarvinder Singh Marwah Indian kabaddi star Rahul Chaudhari and actors and singers Navraj Hans and Sachiin Joshi.
The evening also featured leading figures from the corporate and entrepreneurial world which included filmmaker Girish Malik EaseMyTrip co-founder and CEO Rikant Pittie Wave Group Chairman Rajinder Singh Chadha Vestige owner Kan Warbir Singh Dr Ortho founder Sanjeev Juneja Liberty Group CEO Adesh Gupta and International Marketing Corporation MD Satyan Bhatia among others underlining the leagues growing stature and cross-industry appeal.
All six franchise owners and team representatives were also in attendance representing Mumbai Marines UP Brij Star Northern Challengers Southern Spartans MP Tigers and the newly inducted Gujarat Diamonds. Building on the momentum of its inaugural season Season 2 is set to feature a larger pool of international players enhanced entertainment offerings and wider broadcast and digital reach aiming to bring the league to millions of homes across the country.

Players from season 1 were present at the event
Adding to the buzz several players from Season 1 were present at the event along with a strong lineup of international IPL and First-Class cricketers which included Manpreet Gony Faiz Fazal Anureet Singh Ishwar Pandey and others.
Led by Irfan Pathan the Mumbai Marines clinched the championship fending off strong challenges from teams featuring international stars such as Shikhar Dhawan Suresh Raina and other seasoned players. The inaugural season made a significant impact reaching an audience of 206 million and recording a live viewership of 16.1 million across Sony Liv Fancode and Sony TV.
Season 1 also highlighted more than 60 emerging cricketers from across India discovered through BCLs nationwide talent hunt program. Many of these players had never experienced professional cricket before yet they earned the chance to share the field with international stars delivering standout performances that resonated with fans.
The inaugural season made a significant impact reaching an audience of 206 million and recording a live viewership of 16.1 million across Sony Liv Fancode and Sony TV.
