(Alkesh Patel) Ahmedabad, December 17, 2025: Bhayesh Jaha in Bharatkool Chapter 2 The most thought-provoking and introspective moment in Bharatkool Chapter 2, the confluence of spirituality, culture and artistic expression, was created by the dialogue of the world. Through his thoughts, the attention of the listeners was diverted from the outside world towards soulfulness – the basic essence of Indian philosophy.

Chairman of Gujarat Sahitya Academy, Harishesh Jahaye, who participated in the recently concluded Chapter-2 of Bharatkool at Gujarat University, started the dialogue in his special style by paying obeisance to Goddess Parvati and Lord Shiva. He said that introspection and introspective inquiry are not modern trends, but are the basic pillars of Indian culture. Amidst the celebration of art, music and tradition, his thoughts were particularly vibrant due to their relevance to today’s times.

Comparing the progress of technology and human consciousness, it is rarely noted that artificial intelligence (AI) can leave humans behind in memory, speed and information processing, but it can never replace consciousness—human consciousness. He said, “AI represents intelligence, while humans are the embodiment of consciousness. This consciousness is subjectivity.”

Hardesh Jaha further said that Indian philosophy never looks at life only from physical or functional point of view. Searching for the soul by going beyond the mind and intellect is the path woven in Sanatan Dharma. It is this inward journey that provides balance, clarity and meaning in life.

By placing soulfulness at the center of modern discourse, it reminded audiences in rare places that India’s true strength lies not in its cultural repertoire or its historical heritage, but in its living philosophical tradition—which can guide humanity even in the age of algorithms and automation.

Where various voices of governance, spirituality, art and society came together in Bharatkool Chapter 2, the ideas of Hareshwar Jahana became a bridge between ancient knowledge and modern reality – and they strengthened the truth that without self-awareness, progress is incomplete.
