BSSC 2nd Inter Level Recruitment 2025: The number of vacancies in the Bihar Second Inter Level Recruitment has been increased significantly once again. The Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) has added 1317 new posts to the existing 23175 positions. This brings the total number of vacancies to 24492. The commission has also extended the last date for filling out the application form. Candidates can now apply for the Second Inter Level recruitment even after December 15th. The notice regarding the increase in the number of vacancies in the Bihar Second Inter Level Recruitment has been released on the official website onlinebssc.com. Following this increase, there are now 10753 vacancies for the unreserved category, 3407 for SC, 231 for ST, 4185 for OBC, 2678 for Backward Class, 811 for Backward Class Women, and 2427 for EWS.
Through this recruitment, candidates will be appointed to various departments of the Bihar government, including the Road Construction Department, Prohibition, Excise and Registration Department, Home Department, Minority Welfare Department, Environment Planning and Training, Labour Commissioner, Labour Resources, Health Department, Panchayati Raj Department, Mines and Geology Department, Transport Department, etc.
What are the eligibility criteria for the Inter-Level recruitment?
To apply for this recruitment in Bihar, candidates must have passed the 12th standard (Intermediate) or equivalent examination from a recognized board. In addition, candidates must be at least 18 years old and a maximum of 37 years old (male). The age limit for Backward Class and Extremely Backward Class (male and female), and unreserved women is 40 years. For Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (male and female) candidates, the age limit is 42 years. Disabled candidates of all categories will receive a 10-year age relaxation.
Examination Fee
Each candidate will have to pay an examination fee of Rs. 100. In addition to this amount, processing charges and service tax will be levied separately. The application fee can be paid online through credit card/debit card/UPI/net banking, etc.
What is the exam pattern?
If more than 40,000 applications are received for the Bihar Second Inter Level recruitment, a preliminary examination will be conducted. It will consist of 150 questions from General Studies, General Science and Mathematics, and Mental Ability Test. Four marks will be awarded for each correct answer, and one mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer. The duration of the exam will be 2 hours and 15 minutes.
The paper will be available in both Hindi and English. To qualify for the exam, general category candidates need to secure 40 percent marks, Backward Classes 36.5 percent, Other Backward Classes 34 percent, Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes 32 percent, and women and differently-abled candidates of all categories need to secure 32 percent marks.
