Who can apply?
DLJ and SAG internships require Indian students to have completed the final year of a full-time UG or PG course, such as B.E./B.Tech (Engineering), M.E./M.Tech (Technology), or M.Sc (Science). A good academic record, typically with 75% marks or 7.5 CGPA or higher, is required from a recognized AICTE/UGC-approved institute. Some laboratories (such as SAG) may require higher scores (e.g., 85%/8.5 CGPA) for certain subjects. Students must not have any active backlogs.
When to Apply?
These DRDO internships are offered by two premier laboratories, the Defence Laboratory, Jodhpur (DLJ), and the Scientific Analysis Group (SAG). The last date for applications for DLJ is December 23, 2025, while for SAG, applications can be made until December 19.
Benefits of a DRDO Internship
The internship will provide an opportunity for six months of practical training in research and technology development.
A stipend of ₹5,000 per month will be provided at DLJ.
The SAG stipend for the entire six-month period is ₹30,000, paid in two installments: ₹15,000 after three months and ₹15,000 after six months.
Students completing the internship will receive a certificate from DRDO, a CV, and a resume that could be useful in the future.
