Nivetha Thomas: A number of performers have voiced their opposition to the unethical usage of their photos due to the increasing abuse of artificial intelligence on social media. The list now includes Telugu actress Nivetha Thomas, who vehemently denounces the dissemination of AI-generated photos that exploit her name. The actress has called the conduct a grave invasion of privacy and threatened legal action against anyone involved. Nivetha Thomas tackled the problem head-on and voiced her dissatisfaction with how technology is being misused rather than utilized properly by posting a thorough letter on her social media accounts.

Nivetha Thomas did not hold back while making her comments. She made it very clear that utilizing her photos in AI-generated graphics without permission is both inappropriate and prohibited. “It has come to my attention that AI-generated images misusing my identity and a recent photograph I shared on my social media are circulating online,” the actress stated. Such material production and distribution without authorization is illegal, inappropriate, and very upsetting. It is a severe violation of my privacy and amounts to digital impersonation. She also urged the creators of such material, including anonymous social media accounts, to remove the pictures right now. “This is being documented by me. “Those in charge, including anonymous accounts, are instructed to cease and remove such content immediately,” she wrote.
Nivetha appealed to the broader audience in addition to the people who produce such stuff. Because doing so simply promotes negative behavior, she advised social media users to refrain from resharing or interacting with AI-generated photos. “I want people to see the damage of condoning this behavior. Don’t connect with, reshare, or legitimize such content in any way,” she said. Additionally, Nivetha made it clear that ongoing circulation would not be tolerated. She cautioned that “any continued circulation will be treated as deliberate misuse of my identity and escalated legally.”
Concerns about the abuse of AI are not exclusive to Nivetha Thomas. In the past, actors such as Aditi Rao Hydari, Keerthy Suresh, Sai Pallavi, Rashmika Mandanna, Girija Oak, Sreeleela, and Shriya Saran have voiced their opposition to the usage of AI-generated pictures to disparage women in the business. Sreeleela also sent a message earlier this week asking people to oppose the abuse of AI. “There is a difference between using and abusing technology,” she stated. Technological developments are supposed to make life easier, not harder. She went on to say that artists’ safety is seriously jeopardized by such usage.
