UP: In a startling event, a man from Shamli, Uttar Pradesh, shot and murdered his wife and two kids. He buried their remains under a mattress in a trench excavated within his home. Garhi Daulat Village was the scene of the event.

On social media, a number of videos showing Farooq’s room—where the victims’ corpses were dug—have been going viral.

When questioned by the authorities, Farooq said that his wife had visited her parents’ house around a month before. He said he was angry with her for reportedly demanding money, which he refused to pay, and then leaving without a burqa.

Farooq was regarded by the villagers as a very strict and psychologically disturbed person. Every time he left the home, he reportedly locked his wife and kids inside. It was very forbidden for his in-laws to enter the residence.

According to reports, the dead girls were between the ages of 15 and 16. Farooq has two sons as well. Investigations revealed that none of the kids ever attended a madrasa or school. Due to the need for official documentation, such as Aadhaar cards and pictures, which he never obtained, Farooq reportedly avoided registering them anywhere. Additionally, his wife was prohibited from leaving the home.

According to Farooq’s confession, he murdered his wife because she walked outside without donning a burqa, which he said went against his religious convictions. He said that since his daughters had seen the crime, they were killed.

According to him, the killings took place four to five days prior to the corpses being found.

The two daughters of a man called Farooq were reported missing, according to the local headman. The SHO and the police station in-charge hurried to the hamlet to get further information as soon as they received this information. Farooq said throughout the investigation that his wife had been requesting money from him, which resulted in a fight. He said that he was highly offended by the fact that she had left the home without donning a burqa. After bringing her home, he started to think she was no longer deferring to him. At that moment, he made plans to murder her,” he stated.
