According to the news of Dainik Jagran, a woman named Shamim had filled the second form in the name of Amina Bano. The matter is to Assembly-27 Moradabad Rural. Assembly booth number 171 to 180 supervisor Rajiv Prakash said that there is a voter named Amina Bano in part number 378 Municipal Corporation office room number-3. Whose EPIC number is LYW 2317063 and the address is registered as 65 Sarai Guljarimal.
At the same booth, Amina Bano’s second vote was cast in the name of Shamim Jahan, whose EPIC number is WZK 1448505 and address is 50 Sarai Gulzarimal Moradabad. The woman again filled the census forms from both the places in the names of Amina Bano and Shamim Jahan. The same Aadhar card number 915354936478 was used for both the forms.
Same photo was used in both. In the calculation form filled by the woman in the name of Amina Bano, the EPIC ID of her husband Aftab was mentioned, whereas in the calculation form filled in the name of Shamim Jahan. Mata Munni’s epic ID was used in it. Son Mohd. for mapping of both the farms. Rahish applied.
This entire act is a violation of the Representation of the People Act by filling two counting forms by the same voter under Section 31 of the Representation of the People Act 1950. CO Kotwali Sunita Dahiya said that on the basis of the complaint letter, an FIR has been written against the accused woman. Advance legal action is being taken.
There is a provision of one year imprisonment and fine
Senior advocate PK Goswami explains that under Section 31 of the Indian Penal Code, 1950, if any person makes any written statement or declaration relating to the preparation of the electoral roll or the making of any entry (inclusion/deletion of name) in it, which he knows to be false or not true, he can be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to one year, or with fine, or with both. This penalty applies to having a name in more than one place on the voter list or giving other false information, and is a punishable violation of the law.
Every voter is requested to fill only one enumeration form. Under no circumstances get involved in filling two calculation forms, otherwise you will be subject to action. Every form is being digitalised. In such a situation, fraud will not work under any circumstances. If fraud is found, action will be taken for sure.
