Jharkhand wins Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy : Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025-26 The final match was played on 18 December between Jharkhand and Haryana. In the title match played in Pune, Jharkhand defeated Haryana by 69 runs and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy Won the first title of 2025-26. Jharkhand, who lost the toss, batted first and built a mountain of 262 for 3 on the strength of captain Ishan Kishan’s storming century. In reply, Haryana were bowled out for 193 runs in 18.3 overs.

Batting first, the Jharkhand team did not get off to a good start. Virat Singh lost his first wicket in the first over. Opener Ikshan Kishan shared a partnership of 177 runs with Kumar Kushagra who came next. Captain Ishan Kishan played an explosive innings responsibly. He completed his century in 45 balls. He washed the Haryana bowlers well. Ishan Kishan scored 101 off 49 balls. In this he hit 6 fours and 10 sixes. After that he was dismissed. He was dismissed by Sumit Kumar. After Ishan, Kumar Kushagra was also dismissed with a half-century. He scored 81 off 38 balls. He hit 8 fours and 5 sixes.

Anukul Roy, who came after Kumar Kushagra, also played an explosive innings and put the team in a good position by scoring 40 not out in just 20 balls. He hit 3 fours and 2 sixes. Robin Minz also remained unbeaten on 31 runs. For Haryana, Sumit Kumar, Anshul Kamboj and Samant Jakhar took 1 wicket each.

Chasing the target of 263 runs by Jharkhand, Haryana got off to a poor start. They lost 3 of their key batsmen for 36 runs. Arsh Ranga 17, captain Ankit Kumar 0, Ashish Siwach 0 were dismissed. Yashvardhan Dalal and Nishant Sindhu, who came after him, shared a partnership of 67 runs. Yashvardhan Dalal was dismissed for 53 runs off 22 balls while Sindhu returned for 31 runs. After that, Samant Jakhar put up a bit of a fight scoring 38 runs but he could not lead the team to victory. Parth Vats was dismissed for 4 runs, Sumit Kumar for 5 runs, Anshul Kamboj for 11 runs, Ishant Bhardwaj for 17 runs while Amit Rana remained unbeaten for 13 runs. For Jharkhand, Sushant Mishra and Bal Krishna took the most 3 wickets each. While Vikas Singh and Anukul Roy took 2 wickets each. As a result Jharkhand Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy Won the 2025-26 title.
