Google has released a new update for Pixel users in the month of December. This update takes into account minor improvements after the release of Android 16 QPR2. This update focuses on solving issues like battery drain and touch response that were experienced by many users.
The battery drain issue has been fixed on priority in this update. Many Pixel users had reported that after the December update, their phone’s battery was draining rapidly. The new patch will provide relief to users from the problem of frequent charging.
Pixel 10 series users had complained about the erratic response of the touch screen, which would sometimes work and sometimes not. The small update has effectively resolved this issue, giving users a smooth and reliable touch experience.
Users who moved directly to Android 16 from Android 14 or older were experiencing issues accessing content like offline media and maps. The new build BP4A.251205.006.E1 also fixes this bug, so that offline content can now be used without any interruption.
The size of this update is around 25MB and it is currently available only for Pixel 8, Pixel 9 and Pixel 10 series. Most of the reports have come from the US, with some users finding it in the UK as well. There is no confirmation on the availability of the update for older models like the Pixel 6 and Pixel 7.
