Red Fort explosion: Naseer Bilal will be questioned by the NIA for a further seven days, while Soyab will be placed under judicial custody for five days

Red Fort explosion: A Delhi court on Friday extended the NIA custody of Dr. Bilal Naseer Malla, a suspect in the Red Fort bombing case, by seven days. Additionally, the court confined Soyab, a resident of Faridabad, to five days of judicial prison on charges of harboring Red Fort bomber Umar-un-Nabi. Following the expiration of their first four-day NIA detention issued on December 15, the investigation team brought Soyab and Bilal in the Patiala House Court on Friday under strict security. Reporters were not allowed to cover the events.

Soyab was placed in judicial detention until December 24.
The accused were brought before Principal and Sessions Judge Anju Bajaj Chandna, who granted the investigative agency a further seven days to question Naseer while Soyab was placed under judicial detention till December 24.

Soyab, a resident of Dhauj in Faridabad, Haryana, was detained by the NIA, according to an official NIA spokeswoman, for allegedly giving “terrorist” Umar-un-Nabi logistical assistance before to the terror bombing in Delhi.

It should be mentioned that on December 9, Dr. Naseer Bilal Malla was detained by the NIA in Delhi after being identified as a major conspirator.

According to NIA, Naseer provided logistical assistance to Umar-un-Nabi.
Naseer had intentionally harbored Umar-un-Nabi by giving him logistical assistance, according to NIA findings. The FBI said previously on December 9 that he is also charged with destroying evidence connected to the terrorist act.

Nine persons have already been detained by the NIA, including religious preacher Maulvi Irfan and three further physicians, Drs. Muzammil Ganaie, Adeel Rather, and Shaheen Sayeed. Two additional people have also been taken into custody: Jasir Bilal Wani, also known as Danish, and Amir Rashid Ali.

Yasir Ahmad Dar, a citizen of Jammu and Kashmir and a purported close acquaintance of Umar-un-Nabi, was the ninth accused in the case and was taken into custody by the NIA on December 18. According to the CIA, Dar had sworn to do self-sacrificing activities and was an active member in the plot. The November 10 explosion outside the Red Fort was caused by an i20 automobile loaded with explosives and driven by Umar-un-Nabi.
