Anurag Dwivedi, a 26-year-old boy from Unnao, Uttar Pradesh, who became a millionaire overnight by giving “sure predictions” of cricket matches on YouTube and Telegram, has now come under the grip of the Enforcement Directorate (ED). On Thursday, ED raided the premises of him and his close associates and seized assets worth crores.
Actually this whole matter started with an FIR of West Bengal Police. Sonu Kumar Thakur and Vishal Bhardwaj of Siliguri were accused of running a whole panel of online betting through Telegram channels and fake bank accounts. ED investigation revealed that Anurag Dwivedi was openly promoting these illegal betting apps and channels.
According to ED, Anurag used to make promotional videos for these betting platforms. In return he used to get huge amount from hawala operators and fake bank accounts. This money was transferred to the accounts of his companies and family members. No valid source was found in the investigation.
On December 18, simultaneous raids were conducted at 9 locations in Unnao and Lucknow. ED seized Anurag’s luxury cars – a Lamborghini, Mercedes, Ford Endeavor and Mahindra Thar. The price of these four vehicles is said to be around Rs 7 crore.
Documents found during the raid revealed that Anurag had invested the black money earned from betting in real estate in Dubai through Hawala. That means he has his own property in Dubai!
Anurag is not an ordinary boy, but a big YouTuber and social media influencer. He has more than 70 lakh subscribers on YouTube and 24 lakh followers on Instagram. His profile is filled with photos with cricketers like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Bollywood stars like Sonu Sood.
Recently, on 22 November 2025, she got married with great pomp in Dubai. It is being said that he himself bore the entire expense of taking his relatives to Dubai. According to ED, he is currently hiding in Dubai. The agency sent him several summons, but he did not appear even once. Now ED has its eyes set on him – if he tries to escape, more strict action will be taken!
