Pokémon Go's partnership with Techfest 2025 will offer students, visitors and Trainers across Mumbai the opportunity to experience the game in an academic and innovation-led setting. Nearby trainers have also been invited to visit the campus and take part in the Catch Cup tournament.
Pokémon GO at Techfest 2025: All details
The Pokémon GO Techfest 2025 experience will be live from 10:00 a.m. on December 22 to 8:00 pm on December 24, with a host of special in-game features available throughout the event.
Wild Pokémon encounters
During the event, trainers may encounter Pokémon appearing more frequently in the wild. This includes Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Pikachu, and Eevee. Trainers may also encounter Lapras and Snorlax at the event.
Event bonuses
Trainers can also enjoy the following in-game bonuses:
- Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours
- Trainers will earn additional Candy from trades
- Evolve Ivysaur (Bulbasaur’s Evolution) to obtain a Venusaur that knows Frenzy Plant
- Evolve Charmeleon (Charmander’s Evolution) to obtain a Charizard that knows Blast Burn
- Evolve Wartortle (Squirtle’s Evolution) to obtain a Blastoise that knows Hydro Cannon
Timed research
A free Timed Research opportunity will also be available to all Trainers during the event. Completing the Timed Research tasks will unlock a range of exciting rewards, including: XP, Stardust, lure modules, encounters with event-themed Pokémon and more.
Its important to note that the Timed Research will expire, and all associated tasks must be completed and rewards claimed by Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. local time.
Trainers have also been advised to be aware of their surroundings and follow guidelines from local health authorities while playing Pokémon GO. Upcoming events are subject to change.
