A photo of Sarah Ferguson sitting on a sofa has been released without context in the Epstein files. The snap has been published by the US government among numerous others including those of corridors, wardrobes and Bill Clinton appearing to enjoy a hot tub.

The photos do not imply any allegations of criminal activity.

In September, an email sent by the former Duchess of York to her "supreme friend", Jeffrey Epstein, was made public. Following claims that the Duchess emailed Epstein, her spokesperson has said she was "taken in by his lies" and sent the email only to avoid the threat of defamation.

Her ex-husband, Andrew has denied any wrongdoing in relation to his acquaintance with convicted sex offender Epstein.

A spokesperson for Sarah said in September: "The Duchess spoke of her regret about her association with Epstein many years ago, and as they have always been, her first thoughts are with his victims. Like many people, she was taken in by his lies."

They continued: "As soon as she was aware of the extent of the allegations against him, she not only cut off contact but condemned him publicly, to the extent that he then threatened to sue her for defamation for associating him with paedophilia.

"She does not resile from anything she said then. This email was sent in the context of advice the duchess was given to try to assuage Epstein and his threats."

As well as Andrew losing his titles and honours, including his princely title over his connection to Epstein, Sarah also lost her York title - as well as her association to a number charities.

Some of the chartities included The Natasha Allergy Research Foundation, Julia's House, Prevent Breast Cancer, Teenage Cancer Trust, Children's Literacy Charity, The National Foundation For Retired Service Animals and the British Heart Foundation.

Sarah was pictured last week attending her granddaughter Athena's christening in London.

Arriving separately from Andrew, the disgraced former couple were in attendance alongside their daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.
