Digital India State Consultation Workshop organized in Lucknow Gujarati

लखनौः The Digital India State Consultation Workshop was organized in Lucknow by the National e-Governance Division (NeGD), Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) in collaboration with the Government of Uttar Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh Development Systems Corporation Limited (UPDESCO).

Officials of Uttar Pradesh Government participated in the workshop which was inaugurated by Anil Kumar Sagar, IAS, Principal Secretary, IT and Electronics Department, Uttar Pradesh Government and Ms. Neha Jain, IASA, State Coordinator of Uttar Pradesh e-Governance Centre. NeGD Director JL Gupta, MeitY Senior Controller (IT), NIC Senior Director (IT) Hemant Arora, SP (Technical Services) Raees Akhtar and UIDAI Director Lt Col (Dr.) Praveen Kumar Singh were also present in the programme.

Shri Anil Kumar Sagar, Principal Secretary, IT and Electronics, Government of Uttar Pradesh, in his address stressed the importance of data and digital infrastructure and called for cooperation in taking advantage of connectivity to the state and achieving last mile digital penetration. Ms. Neha Jain, Special Secretary, IT and Electronics, Government of Uttar Pradesh, said that the workshop was unique because not only the state officials but also the e-district managers participated in it, who were collaboratively striving for good governance.

The workshop focused on various national initiatives launched by NeGD under the government’s flagship Digital India program such as Digi Locker, Entity Locker, API Setu, OpenForge, MyScheme, UMANG, UX4G. Important areas like cyber security and capacity building were also discussed. The state held discussions on CM Helpline (1076) and IGRS, UIDAI ecosystem as well as Aadhaar authentication services.

After the keynote presentations, an open discussion was held between MeitY officials and the Government of Uttar Pradesh to discuss the challenges and issues being faced in the implementation of the e-Gov project in the state, to seek suggestions and feedback to resolve such issues.

This workshop is being organized as a part of the series of mentorship workshops organized by NeGD, MeitY with the objective of creating awareness about the key projects under the Digital India Programme, inter alia, to increase awareness of the key projects under the Digital India Programme, identify opportunities for State IT projects to use the Digital India Platform, recognize successful projects for replication, facilitate exchange of ideas, knowledge sharing and industry To facilitate partnership.
