According to the reports, after the federal inquiry agency filed a temporary order under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), the properties of actress Neha Sharma, mother of model Urvashi Rautela, and Bengali actor Ankush Hazra have also been attached.
According to the reports, these include assets valued at about Rs 1 crore for Sood, Rs 59 lakh for Chakraborty, Rs 2.5 crore for Yuvraj Singh, Rs 1.26 crore for Sharma, Rs 8.26 lakh for Uthappa, Rs 47 lakh for Hazra, and Rs 2.02 crore for Rautela’s mother.
These assets have been classified as the “proceeds of crime” (illegal money under the PMLA) of the purported unlawful betting app called 1xbet registered in Curacao. The ED has previously questioned all of these celebrities. As part of its inquiry, the CBI had already seized assets from former cricket players Shikhar Dhawan and Suresh Raina valued at Rs 11.14 crore.
