Railway News: Citing operational needs, the South Eastern Railway division stated that a number of Mainline Electric Multiple Unit (MEMU) train services will be suspended indefinitely beginning in early January. Additionally, starting on January 2 and continuing till further notice, the train between Dhanbad and Bankura will not operate. The MEMU trains that go between Bishnupur and Dhanbad would also be impacted on the way back. Thirteen MEMU trains have been canceled in all.

On Saturday, December 20, the MEMU train that travels between Bhaga and Adra will be canceled. On the way back, the train will stop between Adra and Bhaga. The Dhanbad-Bankura Memu will leave an hour later. Instead of leaving at 2:30 pm, it will leave at 3:20 pm. A rolling block in the Adra Railway Division is affecting trains on this route.
