‘ Laapataa Ladies ’ actor Sparsh Shrivastava will be marking his Tollywood debut with star Naga Chaitanya in the upcoming film, ‘Vrushakarma’. Recently, the 26-year-old actor described the experience of working in Telugu cinema as nothing short of special.
While speaking with IANS, Sparsh Shrivastava shared that working on the film has been an “absolute treat”. He spoke fondly of the people he is collaborating with and the environment of the set. According to the actor, the Telugu film industry is vibrant, welcoming and filled with positive energy.
He said, “I'm having an absolute treat working on this South Indian film with Naga Chaitanya. It's such a warm, vibrant industry, and they've welcomed me with open arms and obviously delicious food!”
Sparsh Shrivastava praises director Karthik Dandu He also spoke about working with director Karthik Dandu. He shared that he gives performers freedom to explore their roles. “Collaborating with him, the wonderful cast, and director Karthik Dandu has been a dream. They're all such kind souls, and the director is a creative genius who gives me the freedom to explore my craft,” he added.
Learning Telugu, but no barrierThe ‘Jamtara’ actor mentioned that he is still learning Telugu, however it has not been a major hurdle during the filmmaking process. He said, “Despite the language challenge, we find ways to connect, discuss, and vibe on the nuances of each take. I can't say much about my role yet, but the journey so far is pure magic”.
Sparsh Shrivastava was last seen in the comedy series ‘Dhupiya’ and received huge applause for his role in the series ‘Jamtara’ and Kiran Rao directorial ‘Laapataa Ladies’ backed by Aamir Khan's production house. He played the role of Deepak Kumar as a small-time villager who is on a quest to find his newly wedded bride after she gets exchanged.
