'Parasakthi': Will Sivakarthikeyan's film be released early with Vijay's 'Jana Nayagan'? Team clarifies

Sivakarthikeyan is celebrated by fans as the "next Vijay " in Tamil cinema today. The actor, who got the gun in the Vijay-starrer 'GOAT', has now created a huge market for himself and is in a position to directly compete with Vijay's Pongal release. While it was announced that Vijay's ' Jana Nayagan ' film will be released on January 9 for Pongal next year, it was also officially announced that Sivakarthikeyan's ' Parasakthi ' will be released on January 14. Thus, fans on socail media thought that even though the two big films were in the same Pongal season, there would be no direct conflict as they will be released in a gap of five days.
'Parasakthi' to have a fierce conflict with 'Jana Nayagan'
However, the recent reports surfaced on the internet claiming that 'Parasakthi' is planning to release the film early, on January 10, with a big political calculations behind this. Therefore, the rumors started doing the rounds that if 'Parasakthi' was released immediately after the release of 'Jana Nayagan', most of the big screens would be available for that film, and it could affect the collections of Vijay's film. This may create a fierce conflict between the two films.
Malaysia distributor dismisses the rumour
Meanwhile, an update from the overseas market regarding the release of Parasakthi has put an end to these rumors. The new official poster released by the Malaysian distributor clearly states that 'Parasakthi' will be released in theaters on January 14. The poster went viral on social media, putting to rest all speculations about a “release date change.” This also confirms that the news regarding an early release is baseless.
About 'Parasakthi'
Directed by Sudha Kongara, 'Parasakthi' is set during 1965, and the period drama is set to address a social message. Sivakarthikeyan reportedly plays a revolutionary college student in the film inspired by true events. Ravi Mohan, Atharvaa , and Sreeleela play crucial roles, while the music for the film is composed by GV Prakash Kumar in his milestone 100th film as a composer.
