The residents of Bhopal, the city of lakes, the capital of Madhya Pradesh, the heartland state of the country, today got the gift of metro train (Bhopal Metro), Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav along with Union Urban Development Minister Manohar Lal Khattar flagged off the metro train. On this occasion, Cabinet Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya, Vishwas Sarang and other public representatives were present. Dr. Mohan Yadav described Metro as a big gift for Bhopal, he said that where Metro runs, development takes wings.
Now a new link has been added to the urban transport for the residents of Bhopal, apart from the local means of transport, auto rickshaw, bus etc., now the residents of the capital have also got the facility of metro train. From Sunday, they will be able to avail the benefit of metro train journey. Today, as soon as Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar flagged off the metro train, the years old demand of the people of Bhopal was fulfilled.
While inaugurating the Chief Minister said, I felt happy as soon as I sat in the train, Bhopal appeared more beautiful when seen from above, he said that everyone will get the benefit of Metro, wherever the Metro runs, development gets its wings, a new story of development begins, the Chief Minister thanked Prime Minister Modi and described the Metro as a great gift.
Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said that the people of Raja Bhoj city are happy and feel proud today with the running of metro because the city where the metro runs feels that it has become higher than other cities. When a person sees the elevated line of the metro, he also starts considering himself elevated.
The Chief Minister along with the Union Minister today launched the first phase of the Orange Line ‘Priority Corridor’. In this, metro train will run on a route of about 6.22 kilometers from Subhash Nagar to AIIMS. In which a total of eight stations have been included. So that more people can avail the service, the fare has not been kept too high. Metro tickets will start from Rs 20 to a maximum of Rs 40 depending on the distance of the stations.
