This inning of Sameer became the biggest individual innings of the Under-19 Asia Cup final so far. He broke Pakistan’s Sami Aslam’s record of 134 runs in 2012. Sameer became the first batsman to score more than 150 runs in the final. By scoring a century in just 71 balls, he also completed the second fastest century of the tournament.

He was moving towards a double century until he was caught out by Deepesh Devendran. This innings also changed the list of top-5 scores of the final.
