The final match of Under-19 Asia Cup was played between India and Pakistan, in which Pakistan won the title by defeating the Indian team by 191 runs. With this victory, Pakistan has proved its strength.
In the final, Pakistan, batting first, scored 347 runs at the loss of 8 wickets in the stipulated 50 overs. In this inning, Sameer Minhas played an incredible inning of 172 runs. For India, Deepesh Devendran took maximum 3 wickets, but it was not enough for his team.
The Indian team showed good signs in the beginning while chasing the huge target, but the situation deteriorated due to the rapid fall of wickets. India lost 3 important wickets for 49 runs, which also included the wicket of Vaibhav Suryavanshi.
Deepesh Devendran scored 36 runs for India, in which he hit 2 sixes and 6 fours. Vaibhav Suryavanshi scored 26 runs in 10 balls and hit 3 sixes and 1 four. But, the Indian batsmen could not compete with the Pakistani bowlers and the entire team collapsed for 156 runs in 26.2 overs.
In the final match, Pakistani bowlers effectively stopped the Indian batsmen. Ali Raza displayed his brilliant bowling and took 4 wickets for just 42 runs in 6.2 overs. He gave a big blow to India by dismissing Vaibhav Suryavanshi. Mohammad Syam, Huzaifa Ahsan, and Abdul Subhan took 2 wickets each, due to which none of the Indian batsmen were able to play consistently.
