UP: In the early hours of Monday, a police encounter in the Deoria region of Uttar Pradesh resulted in the arrest of two livestock smugglers and the injury of one.

In the vicinity of the Salempur police station, a confrontation between police and livestock traffickers occurred. A car being used to smuggle animals was intercepted by authorities during a vehicle check near the hamlet of Dhanauti Rai.

The crooks started shooting as soon as they noticed the cops. Bholu Yadav, one of the suspects, was wounded after being shot in the leg during the gunfight. Two further suspects, Narayan Yadav and Nagendra Kumar, were also taken into custody by the police after they ringed the area. For medical attention, the wounded felon was brought to the hospital.

The vehicle used for the smuggling, the livestock, live and used rounds, and an illegal weapon were all found by the police.

Additional legal action is being pursued after a complaint was filed under the appropriate provisions at the Salempur Police Station.

Under the direction of Salempur Station Head Mahendra Kumar Chaturvedi, a combined police team from the Salempur and Lar Police Stations conducted this operation.

This occurs only days after two distinct police engagements in the districts of Jaunpur and Ballia, Uttar Pradesh, resulted in the injuries of two cow traffickers and the arrest of one.

Late on December 18, a confrontation between police and cattle smugglers occurred in the vicinity of the Khuthan police station in Jaunpur. A renowned cow smuggler was wounded by a bullet fired in police response during the gunfight, and one of his friends was taken into custody when the police encircled him.

According to the authorities, an automobile without a license plate, a handgun produced in the nation, two empty cartridges, and some cash were found there.

On the same day (December 18), a wanted suspect in a cow slaughter case was apprehended by police after an altercation in the Ballia neighborhood.

The accused was hit in the leg during the retaliatory fire, and he was later treated at the Community Health Center in Sonbarsa.
