Bihar Weather Update: According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), chilly waves and thick fog are expected in a number of regions at least until December 25. In the next days, the southern districts’ minimum temperature is expected to decrease by an additional two to three degrees Celsius. The temperature is expected to rise starting in the first week of January, although there won’t be much of a difference in the weather for the next three to four days. In addition to recommending the district administration to take the appropriate action, the weather department has encouraged the inhabitants to minimize their trips in order to prevent any problems.

In these districts, there is a cold wave alert.
Several districts, including Buxar, Bhojpur, Bhabhua, Rohtas, Aurangabad, Arwal, and Gaya, are expected to see intense fog in the coming days, according to the meteorological service, which also provided specifics. Fog is also predicted to occur in Patna, the capital, particularly in the morning. Fog will probably make it harder to see, which will be inconvenient for commuters. The lowest temperature in Patna was around 12.5 degrees Celsius, while the highest temperature was estimated to be 16.8 degrees Celsius.

In addition, the IMD said that Patna and other southern districts will continue to be cooler than northern areas. In 16 districts, the maximum temperature rose little on Sunday, offering commuters some respite. According to the meteorological service, the state’s lowest temperatures fell between 8 and 14.1 degrees Celsius.

Earlier on Sunday, temperatures below 20 degrees Celsius were reported in Patna and many other districts, including Gaya, Bhagalpur, Purnea, Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga, Motihari, Madhepura, and Samastipur. In addition to Bihar, heavy fog and cold waves are predicted over the next days in a number of other northern states, including Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, and Haryana.
