Lucknow Diary: No one was surprised when CM Yogi Adityanath became a victim of the stray animal problem, which has been choking the governing BJP in election after election. During the CM’s recent trip to Gorakhpur, a cow broke into his convoy. Gorakhpur MP Ravi Kishan and CM Yogi got out of the vehicle as soon as the CM’s entourage stopped. A cow suddenly charged at Yogi. The security staff, however, acted quickly to rescue the CM. Arvind Kumar, the supervisor of Gorakhpur Municipal Corporation, was suspended, nonetheless, for neglecting to sanitize the area before to the VIP movement. It has been ordered an internal inquiry.

Officials are perplexed by a YouTuber’s illicit fortune.

The ED team was shocked to discover four luxury cars, including a Lamborghini Urus valued at `4.18 crore and a Mercedes, from the Nawabganj home of well-known YouTuber Anurag Dwivedi in UP’s Unnao, just days after intelligence investigators were astounded to see the opulent bungalow of a modest constable, an accused in the codeine syrup racket case. Dwivedi is charged with accumulating illegal riches via hawala networks. According to the PMLA, all four cars were reported as proceeds of crime. Investigations showed that Dwivedi used mule accounts, cash drops via intermediaries, and hawala operators to pocket large sums of money.

Alumni from IIT-K donate Rs 11 crore to their alma institution.

In a kind gesture, the 40-year-old Indian Institute of Technology-Kanpur alumni have promised `11 crore to fund three historic campus legacy projects. This declaration was made by the Class of 1986 during their December 18–21 reunion. Alumni from all across the world came together to help shape IIT Kanpur’s future. Three projects—the SAC Extension Auditorium, the Center for Mental Health and wellness, and a Tower in the New Hall of Residence—that deal with student life, wellness, and community involvement on campus will receive the committed funds.
