He has been included in the Jharkhand team for the upcoming Vijay Hazare Trophy and has also been given the command of the team. The upcoming season of Vijay Hazare Trophy is going to start from 24th December.

He also scored 2 centuries and 2 half-centuries in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. In the final match against Haryana, Ishaan played a strong inning of 101 runs and played an important role in helping the team win the title.
Jharkhand has been placed in the elite group and the team will play its first match against Karnataka in Ahmedabad. While the command of the team is in the hands of Ishaan, Kumar Kushagra has been given the responsibility of vice-captain.
