This song showed an atmosphere of tension along with celebration.
Vijay further explained that the makers chose two performers (Ayesha Khan and Krystle D'Souza) for this song so that the audience's attention remains on the events happening in the film. If a big star like Tamanna had been in this song, the audience's attention would have shifted away from the story and focused only on her. Director Aditya Dhar's vision was clear that he did not want a traditional 'item song' which would spoil the rhythm of the story.
