Patna Traffic Advisory: Patna is set to witness a major political event today as BJP National Working President Nitin Nabin holds a roadshow across prominent city routes. In anticipation of increased traffic congestion and public movement, the Patna Traffic Police have announced a detailed traffic management plan, including restrictions, diversions, and parking guidelines. These measures will remain in force from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM to ensure public safety and smooth vehicular flow.

Patna traffic advisory

Overview of the Roadshow Route

The roadshow will commence from Patna Airport and pass through several important locations of the city. The planned route includes Aranya Bhawan, Sheikhpura Mor, Patel Bhawan, Punaichak, the High Court area, and the Income Tax Roundabout, before concluding at Miller High School. Due to the scale of the event, traffic diversions will be implemented at critical points such as Jagdev Path and the GPO Roundabout during the scheduled hours.

Advisory for Daily Commuters and Travelers

The traffic department has urged residents, office-goers, and travelers to plan their journeys in advance. People heading to the airport have been specifically advised to leave their homes at least three hours before their flight departure to avoid delays caused by road closures and diversions. Public cooperation is being emphasized to maintain order and reduce inconvenience.

Alternative Routes for South and Northbound Traffic

Vehicles approaching from the southern side of the District Transport Office area will be able to reach their destinations through a diversion route covering the District Transport Office, Tamtam Padav, and Phulwari Sharif. Meanwhile, traffic coming from the northern side will be directed to use Jagdev Path as the primary alternative route during the restriction period.

Diversions for Kankarbagh and Patna Junction Traffic

Commuters traveling from Kankarbagh or Patna Junction will face major diversions. Such vehicles will be rerouted through the GPO Road Over Bridge, R-Block Road Over Bridge, Gardanibagh Road Over Bridge, and the Anisabad roundabout. These diversions are intended to reduce congestion near the roadshow corridor.

Routes from Dak Bungalow and Western Corridors

Vehicles originating from the Dak Bungalow area can continue their journey via Buddha Marg, Police Line, Rajapur Bridge, and Ashok Rajpath. Those heading west from Dak Bungalow toward southern Patna will be diverted through Kotwali T-Point, the GPO flyover, R-Block Road Over Bridge, and Gardanibagh Road Over Bridge.

Traffic Movement from Saguna Mor and Danapur

Commuters traveling eastward toward Nehru Path from Saguna Mor or Danapur will be able to reach their destinations using Jagdev Path, passing through the District Transport Office and Tamtam Padav toward Phulwari Sharif. Alternatively, vehicles from Saguna Mor or Danapur can also proceed east via Ashiana-Digha Road, passing through Digha, Kurji, Rajapur Bridge, and Ashok Rajpath.

Parking Restrictions and Designated Areas

Strict parking restrictions will be enforced on Jagdev Path and the stretch from Patel Golambar to Patna Airport. Workers associated with the event are required to park their vehicles exclusively in the airport’s outdoor parking area. General commuters are advised to park small vehicles in designated areas below the GPO Roundabout and R-Block. Large vehicles can be parked on one side of the single-lane section of Atal Path, as instructed by traffic authorities.

Appeal for Public Cooperation

The Patna Traffic Police have appealed to citizens to follow traffic advisories, cooperate with on-ground personnel, and avoid unnecessary travel near the roadshow route during peak hours. These temporary measures are aimed at ensuring safety, maintaining order, and minimizing disruption during the high-profile event.
