UPSC CGPDTM Recruitment 2025: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will soon close the online application process for the position of Examiner of Trade Marks and Geographical Indications (GI). This recruitment is being conducted under the Office of the Controller General of Patents, Designs and Trade Marks (CGPDTM), Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

102 Posts to be Filled
A total of 102 posts will be filled under this recruitment drive. Of these, 100 posts are for Examiner of Trade Marks and Geographical Indications, while two posts are reserved for Deputy Director (Examination Reforms). Interested and eligible candidates can apply through the UPSC's Online Recruitment Application (ORA) portal, upsc.gov.in.

The application process for the UPSC CGPDTM Recruitment began on December 13, 2025, and candidates can apply online until January 1, 2026. The Commission has clarified that no applications will be accepted after the deadline.

Postal Details and Eligibility
A total of 100 vacancies have been notified for the positions of Examiner for Trademarks and GI. Candidates applying for these positions must possess a degree in Law or an equivalent qualification. The eligibility criteria for the two Deputy Director (Examination Reforms) positions are specified in the official notification.

Candidates for all these positions must be between 21 and 35 years of age as of January 1, 2026. Candidates belonging to reserved categories such as Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) will be given age relaxation as per government rules.
