UP Home Guard Recruitment: Following the notification for thousands of Home Guard vacancies in Uttar Pradesh, the dates for the written examination have now been announced. The written exam for the UP Home Guard recruitment will be held over three days in April 2026.  It has been stated that the examination will be conducted offline, requiring candidates to appear at designated examination centers. So far, more than 25 lakh applications have been received for this recruitment. The number of examination centers and their locations across different districts are yet to be finalized.

What are the exam dates?
The UP Home Guard recruitment examination will be held on April 25th, 26th, and 27th. The exam will be conducted in two shifts each day, meaning a total of six shifts over three days. Candidates who have applied for the recruitment can find more information on the board's official website, uppbpb.gov.in. This recruitment drive is for a total of 41,424 vacancies.

What is the exam pattern?
This offline examination for the Home Guard recruitment will be for a total of 100 marks. An OMR sheet will be provided, where candidates will have to mark the correct option. It has been indicated that most of the questions will be related to general knowledge. Candidates who pass the written examination will be allowed to participate in the further stages of the recruitment process. This will be followed by document verification and a physical efficiency test.

What is the physical test?
For this recruitment examination, male candidates are required to complete a 4.8 km run in 28 minutes. Only those who pass this physical test will be allowed to proceed further. For female candidates, a 2.4 km run in 16 minutes is required. A 20% reservation has been provided for women in this recruitment.

What is the salary?
Candidates who pass the UP Home Guard recruitment examination will be issued appointment letters. After becoming a Home Guard, they will receive an allowance of Rs. 600 per day. In addition, dearness allowance and other allowances will also be provided. In total, a Home Guard's monthly salary can range from Rs. 28,000 to Rs. 30,000.
