In the ever-unpredictable world of Bollywood last-minute casting changes and unexpected exits or removals are a part and parcel of being in the industry. One such similar case happened recently when reports of Ranveer Singhs exit from Farhan Akhtars Don 3 started doing the rounds. Soon after he departed from the film many were quick to link his reported exit to the massive box office success of Dhurandhar. But as per a new report these assumptions are being dismissed giving more clarity on the real reason behind his exit.
Reports Dismiss Claims Of A Voluntary Exit
Speculation intensified after claims suggested that Ranveer had exited Farhan Akhtar’s ambitious action franchise following the success of Dhurandhar. Addressing these rumours a new report stated clearly “Ranveer Singh hasn’t walked out of Don 3 like the rumour mills claim.”
The report further clarified that his exit had “no connection to the box-office success of ‘Dhurandhar’.” Instead it was emphasised that the development stemmed from creative differences rather than his latest professional success.
Creative Differences Behind The Decision
Further elaborating the source stressed that the actor’s departure was not celebratory or self-driven. As quoted in the report “Instead it was the result of creative disagreements with the makers.”
The source further underlined that “the decision stemmed from differences over demands and was not a voluntary or celebratory exit.”. As of now no official statement has been issued by Ranveer Singh or Don 3 makers further adding intrigue surrounding the project.
Farhan Akhtar’s Faith In Ranveer Singh
A report further stated “It’s actually an entirely different story.” The source revealed that Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani offered Ranveer Don 3 at a time when he was struggling professionally.
The report quoted “Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar offered him Don 3 after he had delivered three colossal flops.” It further added “They stood by him even after Sanjay Leela Bhansali shelved Baiju Bawra because he was considered not saleable at the time.”
Highlighting the magnitude of the project the source noted “Don 3 is a hottest franchise and Ranveer was stepping into the legendary shoes of not just Shah Rukh Khan but also Amitabh Bachchan. It is a dream role for any actor.”
Concluding the account the source added “Farhan was the only filmmaker who put his trust in Ranveer when others had backed out. This was also at a time when Dhurandhar hadn’t even released.”
