Nandamuri Balakrishna ’s ‘Akanda 2: Thaandavam’ was released on December 12, and the movie is set to complete two weeks at the box office. After a roaring start, the film’s collections have started to drop and are now witnessing decent earnings.

As per a report by Sacnilk, ‘Akhanda 2’ collected Rs 1.10 crore on Wednesday. The movie recorded massive earnings on the opening, collecting Rs 76.75 crore in the first week, where 73.35 crore came from Telugu, Rs 69 lakh from Hindi, Rs 18 lakh from Kannada, Rs 2.45 crore from Tamil and Rs 8 lakh from the Malayalam version. Later, on its second Friday, the movie minted Rs 1.7 crore, Rs 2.55 crore on Saturday, and the second Sunday saw Rs 3.45 crore. Later, as the weekdays hit, the movie dropped numbers as last Monday made Rs 1.05 crore, Tuesday it was Rs 1 crore, and after day 13th’s earning the total stands at Rs 87.60 crore.

Theatrical occupancySpeaking of the movie’s theatrical occupancy, yesterday it had an overall 17.71% Telugu occupancy, where the lowest was recorded at the morning shows at 14.09%. It later increased to 17.01% in the afternoon, which then slightly increased to 18.50% in the evening shows. Lastly, the night shows peaked at 21.18%. Today, on Christmas, with hoilday season here, the film is expected to have a good stint at the box office.
