SSC LDCE Recruitment 2025: The official notification for Grade-C Stenographer Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE) exam has been released by the Staff Selection Commission. Through this recruitment process, a total of 326 posts will be appointed in various departments of the Central Government. The process of online registration for the application has started from December 22, 2025. The Commission has made it clear that applications will be accepted only through online mode. No form will be accepted after the due date.
Candidates are advised to read the official notification of SSC before applying. In case of any change, the decision of the Commission will be final.

In which departments there will be recruitment: Selected candidates will be posted in many important departments of the Central Government. These include prestigious departments like Central Secretariat Stenographers Service, Armed Forces Headquarters and Indian Foreign Service.

Educational qualification: To apply, candidates must be holding a regularly appointed post of Stenographer Grade “D” in the respective participating services/cadres with prescribed service period and other eligibility conditions. Along with this, it is also important to have knowledge of computer. For more information you can visit the official website of SSC.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected in two phases. In the first phase there will be Computer Based Examination (CBT). A total of 200 marks questions will be asked in the computer based examination. It will consist of 100 questions (100 marks) from General Awareness and 100 questions (100 marks) from English Language. There will also be negative marking in the exam. 0.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer, hence the Commission has advised the candidates to solve the questions thoughtfully. In the second phase, the successful candidates in the written examination will be called for stenography skill test. This test will be of total 200 marks, in which typing speed and stenography ability will be tested.

  • Visit the official website of SSC, ssc.nic.in.
  • Now select ‘Apply’ or ‘Registration’ section.
  • Start the new registration process – ‘New User? Click on ‘Register Here’.
  • Fill your personal information i.e. Name, Date of Birth, Parents Name, Mobile Number, Email ID etc.
  • Create User ID and Password and submit the registration form.
  • Enter the OTP sent on your mobile and email.
  • After successful registration you will get a registration ID, keep it safe.
