Hair starts falling due to these medical conditions

Permanent Hair Loss:

  • Male Pattern Baldness: Male pattern baldness is a hormonal condition. In this condition, men's hair starts falling from the front. This is a special pattern. Hairline is formed in 'M' shape on the forehead and hair starts receding from the back. Baldness also starts increasing on the upper part of the head i.e. the crown section. This condition is mostly permanent.

  • female pattern baldness: The condition of female pattern baldness is called androgenic alopecia. In this condition the problem of baldness increases in women. In this condition, the density of hair on the upper part of the head i.e. the crown section starts decreasing and patches start appearing there. This also happens due to genetics and hormonal changes.

  • trauma hair lossTrauma hair loss means any kind of physical or mental trauma that has a negative impact on the hair. In this condition hair starts falling rapidly.

  • lichen planopilaris: In lichen planopilaris the immune system mistakenly attacks your hair. Due to this, the scalp starts swelling and the hair there gets completely destroyed. In this disease the problem of baldness is permanent.

Temporary Hair Loss:

  • alopecia areata condition: In alopecia areata, the immune system mistakenly attacks the hair follicles, causing hair fall and patches forming there. But this medical condition does not cause permanent baldness. This means hair can be grown again.

  • Hair loss due to stress: Due to excessive stress, cortisol hormone increases rapidly in the body, which not only makes you mentally ill. Due to this, hair also gets adversely affected and they start falling. However, this may be temporary.

  • Hair loss during pregnancyHair fall is common during pregnancy, mainly due to hormonal changes later in pregnancy. However, this situation is temporary.

  • iron deficiency: When there is iron deficiency in the body, hemoglobin is produced less, due to which oxygen does not reach the hair roots and due to its deficiency, the hair becomes weak and starts falling rapidly.
