On Thursday, Bhajanlal Sharma, the Chief Minister of Rajasthan, emphasized that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's guidance, India is reaching new heights in the sports sector. He noted that the Prime Minister has prioritized sports at a national level, and initiatives like 'Khelo India' have significantly fostered a sports culture across the country.
Sharma was speaking at the closing ceremony of the MP Sports Festival held at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, where Prime Minister Modi addressed the audience digitally. According to a statement, Modi remarked that the MP Sports Festival has transformed into a people's movement.
He further stated that this festival is unveiling thousands of talented athletes and serves as a robust pillar for nation-building through youth development. Sharma also mentioned that the state government has taken significant steps to promote sports in Rajasthan, including the successful organization of the Khelo India University Games and the launch of the Sports Life Insurance Scheme.
Later, Sharma addressed the state-level Good Governance Day ceremony, paying tribute to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his birth anniversary. He highlighted that Vajpayee transformed governance by adhering to the ideals of Ramrajya, turning good governance into effective governance. The Chief Minister also administered an oath of good governance to officials and staff.
