Bihar: Pintu Barnwal, a native of Bihar’s Gopalganj district, was detained for reportedly getting married to three different women in a three-year period without first divorcing his prior spouses. His first and second wives filed reports accusing him of domestic abuse and dowry harassment, which led to his incarceration.

In response to the accusations, Barnwal refuted every accusation. “With respect to the dowry accusations, everything they have said is false. He told news agency ANI, “We haven’t taken a single cent from them.
He acknowledged that he had married three women, but he said that his actions were compelled by his circumstances. “My mom is sixty years old. For two days, none of them even prepared meals. Instead, my mother and I fed them,” he said.

Barnwal provided rebuttals on Khushboo, his first wife. “The villagers are aware that Khushboo, the first one, came to murder with a knife. “I was supposed to be killed, and so was my mother,” he said. Additionally, he rejected the FIR’s rape claims as “completely fake,” pointing to the 10-year age gap and lack of physical contact.
Barnwal explained his third marriage by pointing to the health of his aging mother. “My mother is old and ill; she has diabetes and heart trouble.

Nobody was home to look after her. I was not even able to cook. He said, “I was forced to marry,” and claimed the third wife had remained in the home for a year without voicing any complaints. Additionally, he claimed that his first and second wives covertly plotted against him.

Khushboo Kumari refuted Barnwal’s allegations by claiming desertion, assault, and dowry harassment. “On December 2, 2022, we were married at Gauri Shankar Lounge. I visited their home on December 3. “My father gave them Rs 3 lakh as a gift, along with a 20-gram necklace, a 15-gram ring, other jewellery, and household items, following conflict and fighting,” she added.

She went on to say that she was tortured repeatedly before being expelled. Later on, she learned that Barnwal had remarried without filing for divorce. “The second wife has a 10-month-old baby, and the third wife has a one-month-old baby,” she said.

Gudiya Kumari, Barnwal’s second wife, also charged him of deceit and desertion. “I was Pintu’s second wife. He married another lady after we were married, but he didn’t inform me or file for divorce,” she said.
She said that Barnwal had a history of marrying women for money and that he and his family had demanded dowries on several occasions. “He has destroyed the lives of several females. She questioned, “How many more girls will he hurt?”
Gudiya and Khushboo both want justice. “We want justice, and he should be punished,” Gudiya said.
