Regarding the issue of violence against Hindus in Bangladesh, Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said, what is happening against minorities in Bangladesh is a matter of concern. We condemn the recent murder of a Hindu youth in Bangladesh.

He said that he hopes that the culprits of this crime will be brought to justice. India is in favor of strengthening its relations with the people of Bangladesh. We want peace and stability in Bangladesh. We have consistently demanded free, fair, inclusive and participatory elections in Bangladesh.

What did the ministry say on H1B visa?

Randhir Jaiswal also reacted on H1B visa. He said that the government has received many complaints from citizens of the country who are facing difficulties in rescheduling their visa appointments. Visa related issues fall under the sovereign jurisdiction of any country, we have raised these issues and our concerns with the American side.

Many people have been stranded for a long time

The ministry spokesperson said, many people are stranded for a long time, which has caused a lot of problems to the families as well as their children's education. The Indian government is actively engaged with the American side to reduce the problems faced by its citizens.

Randhir Jaiswal also reacted to the Bondi Beach terrorist attack in Australia. He said that we are aware of the efforts of those responsible for this attack. The officers are in touch with other officers in this matter. We are fully committed to bringing back those who are fugitives and wanted in the eyes of law in India.

He said, for this we are talking to many countries and the processes are going on. There are legal complications in this but we are committed to bringing them back to the country. So that they can face the case in the courts here.

Case of death of Indian student in Canada

On the death of an Indian student in Canada, he said, we are in touch with his family. This is very unfortunate. We express our deepest condolences. We are also in touch with local authorities about the cause of death. The Embassy is providing all possible assistance to the family.
