Zelenskyy set to meet Trump in Florida as Ukraine peace push gains momentum Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Friday announced plans to travel to Florida on Sunday for a crucial meeting with US President Donald Trump, aimed at advancing efforts to end the nearly four-year-long war with Russia. Zelenskyy said a formal peace proposal was now “about 90% complete.”

The Ukrainian leader said his talks with Trump would focus on security guarantees for Kyiv, unresolved territorial issues, and the prospects of a broader economic partnership between the two countries. He cautioned, however, that no single meeting could deliver a final breakthrough.

Zelenskyy’s visit follows what he described as “constructive discussions” in Kyiv on Thursday with US special envoy Steve Witkoff and Trump’s son‑in‑law Jared Kushner. He said their participation reflected a renewed American effort to push for a lasting settlement after years of gridlock on the diplomatic front.
