Gopalganj: Three marriages in three years. A young man from Bihar married other women without divorcing his previous wives. After this a case was registered against him. Pintu Banwal of Gopalganj district of Bihar has been arrested. The arrest followed a complaint lodged by Pintu's first and second wives alleging domestic violence and dowry demands. However, Pintu Banwal has denied all these allegations. He claimed that the allegations against him were false. Pintu said, "Whatever she has said about dowry is a lie. I have not taken even a single rupee from her."

When wife's condition worsened, she had to marry for the third time.

Pintu admitted that he had married three women. But she says that under the pressure of circumstances she had to marry again. Pintu argues that his first two marriages worsened the condition of his family. His mother is 60 years old. These wives did not cook food even for two days. On the contrary, my mother and I used to cook food for them.

Pintu says that even the villagers know that his first wife Khushboo had come to kill him with a knife. That day my mother and I were going to die. She also alleged that there was a age difference of 10 years between us, no physical relationship, and that the rape complaint is false. She said that her mother was very ill, so she married for the third time. She doesn't give any chance to complain. He also argued that his first two wives had secretly conspired against him. But, the first two wives are adamant that after marriage Pintu harassed them and then left them. Well, after the wives' complaint, Pintu was arrested and after being produced in the court, he was sent to jail.
