New Feature On ITR E-Filing Portal: A new feature has been launched by the Income Tax Department in order to give some ease to taxpayers from the lengthy process while filing rectification requests. The new feature allows taxpayers to file rectification applications for specific income tax orders directly through the official website with the relevant authority. Earlier taxpayers had to submit the rectification requests manually or submit them via the Assessing Officer (AO). What Did The Income Tax Department Say? The Income Tax Department stated that individuals can directly submit rectification applications for TP/DRP/Revision Orders to the Respective Authority through the official website. “Applications for rectification against TP/DRP/Revision Orders can now be filed directly before the Respective Authority through the e-filing portal under the Services Tab-> Rectification->Request to AO seeking rectification” the department said.
