Aditya Chopra steps aside for Salman Khan moving Alpha from its earlier announced release date of 17 April 2026 to avoid a direct clash with Battle Of Galwan. This is not the first hurdle in Alpha’s release journey. The film was initially scheduled to hit theatres on December 25 a date Alia Bhatt had earlier confirmed during her appearance on the sidelines of Milan Fashion Week. However the makers later postponed the release citing the need for additional time to fine-tune and enhance the visual effects.
The delay was aimed at ensuring that the film meets high technical standards and delivers a satisfying experience for fans upon release.
YRF Addresses the Postponement
A spokesperson from the YRF team addressed the postponement and said “We want to present the film in its most cinematic form.” The person further added that the VFX work is expected to take longer than originally anticipated.
