Nestled in a picturesque village in north Wales, one iconic pub has been crowned the best place in the UK to enjoy a seaside pint. Located in the stunning Llyn Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with views over the Irish Sea, the T Coch Inn's unbeatable location earned it the top spot on Big 7 Travel's list of the best seaside pubs in the UK.

After consulting their 367k Instagram followers, editorial team and online reviews, the judges described number one as a "beachfront booxer with an unbeatable view", which gets "all the love it deserves". Plus, it is only accessible by foot, which punters say adds to the experience.

The judges said: "Watch the fishing boats bob in the calm waters, looking out to the rolling Yr Eifl underneath an enormous sky, with the sandy beach at your feet.

"It's only reachable on foot, but there are few better spots for enjoying a pint than right here, on the Lln Peninsula."

Situated in the village of Porthdinllaen, the pub is surrounded by sandy beaches, tranquil villages, and the famed Wales Coast Path, with breathtaking views.

The area is popular among walkers and outdoor enthusiasts, offering opportunities to go kayaking, swimming, or spotting wildlife, like seals and seabirds.

The team at Big 7 said it was a "true gem along the Welsh coast", adding: "With views of Yr Eifl, fishing boats in the bay, and soft sand underfoot, it's a perfect slice of north Wales charm."

It isn't just known for its incredible setting. Visitors rave about its impressive beer selection, leading one TripAdvisor reviewer to describe it as a "must-visit" for pub enthusiasts. They said friendly service awaits you to serve up a "wide range" of drinks, and "marvellous" food.

A second added: "We loved the fantastic location of this pub right on the beach. A great view of the sea and the small bay. We were also delighted with the mega friendly staff and the tasty little dishes on the menu."

However, it is far from a hidden gem. The pub is well known among pub goers, owing largely to its quirk of only being reachable by foot. You also cannot make a reservation, so plan a quiet day to avoid the crowds.
