Hyderabad Police has again booked actress Rakul Preet Singh's brother Aman Preet Singh in a drugs case. At present he is absconding. Masab Tank Police has started a search operation to arrest Aman Preet Singh, brother of actress Rakul Preet Singh, in the drugs case. Western Zone DCP Chaudhary Srinivas said that on December 19, the police had arrested two people on charges of possessing, transporting and selling cocaine and MDMA.
The accused arrested in the drugs case include real estate broker Nitin Singhania (35), resident of Malakpet, and businessman Shranik Singhvi (36), resident of Troop Bazar. The case was registered on the basis of a complaint lodged by a sub-inspector of Masab Tank police station after drugs were seized near Chacha Nehru Park on December 19. According to the FIR, a gray colored car was stopped near the park parking area after police received information about a planned delivery of drugs.
During the search operation, the police recovered 43.7 grams of cocaine and 11.5 grams of MDMA hidden in the dashboard of the vehicle. The investigation team confirmed the drugs on the spot. During interrogation, the accused allegedly revealed that they were ordering cocaine and MDMA from a Nigerian supplier using a mobile number saved under a pseudonym and making delivery in Hyderabad through African couriers. He told that the drugs were meant for sale to a limited group of consumers in the city.
On December 24, the police arrested two African citizens. During interrogation, names of four drug addicts came to light, including Aman Preet Singh. Aman Preet Singh's name was also registered as an accused in a drugs case registered earlier by the Cyberabad police, which also involved the Narsingi case.
The FIR names many alleged drug addicts, including Aman Preet Singh, who is currently absconding. Police said that teams have been formed to find and arrest him. The investigators are also trying to identify and trace the main suppliers and middlemen involved in the supply chain. This case has been registered under sections 8(c), 22(b)(c), 27(a), 27(a) and 29 of the NDPS Act along with relevant provisions of the Indian Code of Justice.
