The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the Tier-I exam schedule for teaching and non-teaching posts in Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) and Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) on its official portal cbse.gov.in. Registered candidates can now check their assigned exam city and download the Exam City Slip using the direct link provided by CBSE.
Candidates who have completed the online application process for KVS and NVS recruitment can log in using their registration number (starting with 2598) and the password created during the application process. Do not use the application number for login.
All registered candidates have been allotted their respective exam centers. The official portal provides details of the assigned exam city, which will also be reflected on the admit card. CBSE has made it clear that requests for changing the exam city will not be entertained.
The Tier-I exam is scheduled over two days in January 2026:
10 January 2026 (Monday)
Morning Shift (9:30 AM – 11:30 AM): Primary Teacher, Junior Secretariat Assistant, Lab Attendant
Afternoon Shift (2:30 PM – 4:30 PM): Multi-Tasking Staff under HQ and RO Cadre
11 January 2026 (Tuesday)
Morning Shift (9:30 AM – 11:30 AM): Senior Administrative and Teaching posts such as Assistant Commissioner, Principal, Vice-Principal, Post Graduate Teacher
Afternoon Shift (2:30 PM – 4:30 PM): Trained Graduate Teacher, Librarian, Administrative Officer, Finance Officer, Junior Translator, Assistant Engineer, Assistant Section Officer, Senior Secretariat Assistant, Stenographer Grade I & II
Candidates must log in using the registration number, not the application number.
The exam city cannot be changed under any circumstances.
Full details of the exam center will be available on the admit card, which will be accessible two days before the exam.
Candidates are advised to regularly check the official CBSE, KVS, and NVS websites for updates related to the recruitment process.
This ensures candidates are aware of their exam center, shift timing, and login requirements well in advance.
