On Sunday, the price of gold crossed Rs 1.41 lakh per 10 grams and the price of silver was around Rs 2.51 lakh per kg. According to the prices released by the local bullion market on Saturday evening (due to holiday, the rates are not declared by IBJA on Sunday), the price of 22 carat gold (Gold Rate Today) is Rs 1,29,600/-, the price of 24 carat gold is Rs 1,41,370/- and the rate of 18 carat gold is Rs 1,06,070/-. Price of 18 carat on Sunday: The price of gold in Delhi-Jaipur is Rs 1,06,070/-. Also Rs 1,05,920/- is trending in Kolkata-Mumbai. It is running at Rs 1,05,970/- in Indore-Bhopal and Rs 1,08,500/- in Chennai.

Price of 22 carat on Sunday: Talking about the price of gold in Bhopal-Indore, it is running at Rs 1,29,500/-. Apart from this, Rs 1,29,600/- is trending in Jaipur, Lucknow, Delhi bullion market. It has reached Rs 1,29,450/- in Hyderabad-Kerala and Kolkata-Mumbai.

Price of 24 carat on Sunday: Talking about the price of gold in Bhopal-Indore, it is Rs 1,41,270/-. It has reached Rs 1,41,370/- in Delhi, Jaipur, Lucknow and Chandigarh. In Hyderabad-Kerala and Bengaluru-Mumbai, the price is trending at Rs 1,41,220/- and in Chennai bullion market the price is trending at Rs 1,41,820/-.

Silver price in major cities

  • On December 28, 2025, the price of 1 kg silver (Silver Rate Today) in Jaipur, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Mumbai and Delhi bullion markets remains at Rs 2,51,000/-.
  • Silver prices remain on the rise in the states of South India. The rate of silver in Chennai, Madurai, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad and Kerala bullion markets has been recorded at Rs 2,74,000/-. However, the price of 1 kg silver in Bhopal and Indore remains at Rs 2,51,000/-.

It is important to know these things while buying gold

  1. It is noteworthy that India Bullion and Jewelers Association (IBJA) releases benchmark rates of gold and silver in the country, but these do not include GST, due to which the prices are different in different cities.
  2. The prices declared by the Central Government on behalf of IBJA are not released on Saturdays, Sundays and Central Government holidays.
  3. While buying gold, check the purity and making charges along with the BIS Hallmark (Hallmark Unique Identification) code.
  4. It is a guarantee of the purity of gold, which contains the BIS logo, carat, jeweler’s identification, testing center mark and a unique HUID number.
  5. 999 is written on 24 carat gold jewellery, 958 on 23 carat, 916 on 22 carat, 875 on 21 carat and 750 on 18 carat.
  6. 24 karat gold is 99.9 percent pure and 22 karat gold is approximately 91 percent pure.
  7. Jewelery is prepared by mixing 9% other metals like copper, silver, zinc in 22 carat gold but there is no adulteration in 24 carat gold, hence most of the shopkeepers sell 18, 20 and 22 carat gold and make jewelery from it.
