Industrialist SK Ahuja says that the government under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has adopted a clear industrial policy. Improvement in law and order, simplification of administrative procedures and development of infrastructure like expressways, airports and better connectivity have strengthened investor confidence. The situation of Uttar Pradesh appears better than other states in the use of industrial land. For example, about 30,749 hectares of land in 157 industrial parks in Telangana is still waiting for investment, whereas industries are active on most of the land in the state. This has not only increased production but has also created employment opportunities on a large scale.
Schemes like One District, One Product (ODOP), Defense Industrial Corridor, Medical Device Park, Pharma Park and Textile Hub are leading to balanced industrial development in the state. Now by emphasizing on ‘Plug and Play’ model, the government is moving towards giving further impetus to the industries, due to which the state is ready to touch new heights in the industrial sector.
