Filmmaker Kiran Rao has given an update on her health after she recently underwent appendix surgery. Taking to Instagram Kiran shared the update along with some photos and a video from the hospital. She was admitted to the Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital. Kiran Rao Gives Health Update After Surgery In the first clip she offered a glimpse from her hospital room and also shared a selfie while pouting at the camera. Kiran later revealed her hospital name tag which read “Kiran Aamir Rao Khan.” The final picture showed her smiling as she sat on a couch enjoying her meal inside the hospital. Sharing the photo Kiran wrote Here I was all ready to party my way into 2026 when my appendix sent me a reminder to slow down breathe deep and give thanks (folded hands and bowing emojis). Immense gratitude for:- modern medicine (still can’t understand how that whole 12mm dia appendix came out through a 10.5mm catheter thank god I’m not a doctor). Kiran Rao is actor Aamir Khans ex-wife. The two got married in 2005. However in 2021 they decided to part ways. Despite the separation the two share a cordial relationship. The duo also co-parent their son Azad. Kiran began her career as an assistant director on Lagaan before making her directorial debut with Dhobi Ghat. In 2024 her film Laapataa Ladies was chosen as India’s official entry for the Best International Feature Film category at the 97th Academy Awards.
